The first charge
==============
The razor was completely empty with me and had to be charged first. Fortunately, this is done quickly, the battery can be charged in about 1 hour from 0 to full. The battery level is indicated by white bars.
The first shave
=============
The shaver is very comfortable to hold, even though the material is smooth but also comfortable grip. First small disillusionment came with me when I was looking for the power button. A right button does not exist but rather a touch button. It is marked in black on the very dark almost as black background and thus almost invisible. Also, a surface modification I can not notice so I was at least blind (with eyes closed) barely managed to find the button and press in place. While the button is placed at the expected location it is me all the more incomprehensible why one did not stand for clearer labeling. After all, the Philips logo and the lettering SensoTouch is about printed in conspicuous white letters. Then why not also the power button for example with a white circle?
Once you overcome this hurdle purrs the razor in front of him and you can shave. Here the designers have done a really good job and the swinging bearing razor with 3 round shearing blades is really perfectly on the skin. The flexible bracket ensures that the shear blades can wonderfully adapt to the face shape and you can still hold the device still relaxed. Respepkt. This really is my by far the best shaving my previous electric razor.
Since I like the sideburns short edge nachrasierer I experienced then but a little surprise, a usual short hair shaver, the Philips is no longer installed. If you're looking for this is necessary to remove the shaving head and start the separately enclosed Beard stylers and use this. This Beard stylers is certainly very good and convenient for taking care of a 3-day beard, if you like I want to readjust only shortly after a normal shaving edge is still very cumbersome. The familiar from many razors short open the small additional razor is not possible because not exist. So it takes longer and is more complicated. I miss that and with a razor this price range I wonder this waiver, after all, have other Philips that look similar to this trimmer yet integrated.
The care after
=============
How long to razors usual you can clean the shaving leaves easily under running water. However, the Philips offers more, there is provided a separate cleaning station. In this you have to fill out a separate cleaning fluid (which of course you can buy on a regular basis in addition) and the shaver is automatically cleaned and immersed in this container.
The razor is then thoroughly clean and because the liquid has a pleasant odor, this gives additionally a pleasant clean feeling.
However, I am of two minds whether I want to use this station permanently. First, this is due to the inconvenience of large size, which takes in the bathroom but have less storage space. But I have much more important the follow-up costs and despite this immense good care Philips writes in the brochure that you in no way the shearing blades longer than should use 24 months must be replaced. Honestly would be my first razor in which the shear blades would keep as short and, moreover, although that would be the best-kept. Here I am torn. Let's see what time brings.
Conclusion:
====
The razor itself is top and the best I've ever had. Loss of comfort for me is the lack of built-in trimmer. Whether the cleaning station is really useful or not Philips is a good idea how to continue after purchase revenue generated is not yet clear to me. I tend more to this presumption.
I have therefore considered long if 4 or 5 star and 4 admit now, but since I have a little something to complain about.
