I would like to bring my views instead of 2 other levels:
1. For those who hesitate between it and the model just below the "Harmony Touch" certainly makes Ultimate 90 more, but definitely worth the cost! First I bought the Touch, but soon exchanged (3 days later) against the Ultimate because there was a dinachevé taste with Touch ... In summary, for 90 more you will have:
- Controls RF (Radio Frequency)! It is a great addition to not having to point the remote at the devices to control! (Accustomed by RF on the BBox Sensation, super convenient) Orders IR directly from the remote control are available of course (RF by default using the HUB, set on IR can be useful if you lock all your devices in a closed cabinet and controlled by the HUB locked too, but we must control the TV which is located outside the cabinet where the HUB can not reach without the mini relay, but suddenly it is necessary to also a mini relay outside furniture which may not be convenient for you)
- Synchronization (after configuration / change) is wireless now! No more having to plug the cable each time you change a few things in your settings!
- The return heptique (vibration) when you press a command on the screen, so you know if you actually run a command or not
- Automatic activation of the display and the backlight of physical buttons when you take the remote control in hand (inclination detection)
- One (slight) grip with the addition of a small "notch" on the upper back of the remote control
- The back of the Ultimate is black against the gray that was not really to my taste in Touch
2. A few ergonomic flaws that waste 1 star to my comment
- Despite the addition of this small notch in the back, the grip is not as comfortable as one could believe it, this unique form when held in the hand gives the impression that the Beast would and could save when she wants! Not that she slips, but it is the form that the evil wife (or my) hand ...
- Always on the form, and this is my biggest critic and complaint:
I'm sure I'm not the only one who frequently need to press the remote control (changing channels or volume) when it is placed on the coffee table without having to enter in hand because the hands milkfat fat of a pizza or simply occupied by covered! But for some time, all manufacturers (Harmony range is the champion in this area) models that come with the back of growing round, no way to press a button when the remote control is placed on Table !!! I want to describe this form of "co * n * Ultimate series" just for that! Try it and you'll see what I mean!
- The touch interface is pretty good overall, definition and responsiveness (to touch) very correct, but to banish these animations to nuts so iP **** between each screen / page! It's those who do everything slow animations! We do not need it and you can not turn them off in the settings!
- The physical buttons are a bit too flat for my taste because when we just want to press a button in the dark without looking at it, it's hard to feel under the finger, a little more relief would have been better without compromise the design ...
Of course, these ergonomic flaws probably not affect everyone, it's just that while saying that this remote is fantastic, I mean my other voice said, "but what they thought these engineers when they designed "?! The ergonomic design + = practical! Imagine a German super sedan with a triangular wheel!
I recommend it despite my rant :)
