The card reader is for me with respect to handling and speed Ok. Hing far on various PCs and my Synology NAS and has almost always worked well.

BUT: He has problems with fast and large CF cards. (Eg Transcend Ultimate 600x 32GB CompactFlash (CF)). The data throughput with this card has slumped to around 2-3 MB / s. This is also often described in various Internet forums as a problem. The problem was solved by means of a firmware update and the reading speed is now very well even with CF cards.

Therefore my recommendation: Always a firmware update in order to achieve the currently maximum possible and if necessary, eliminate errors.

I give only three points because as I said the product and ok in itself but the firmware (V10) at delivery is simply too old (current version is V17).
