3 CDs + 1 DVD on the one hand and two books with very good photo print alone justify the price. In addition still "feel Nippes" like buttons, postcards and a but rather small poster with the abstract circle with rectangles.
The music I do not want to review here in the future, however, the two books. One is by Anton Corbijn and contains something wider than A4 song lyrics and SW and color photographs of the group in the famous and excellent Corbijn style on about 90 pages. It turns Depeche Mode usual fashion conscious is with some subtle humor at various venues in detailed portraits.
The other book is a smaller, elongated format and contains photos of Ben Hilier, Daniel Miller, Ferg Peterkin and Luke Smith. These were on the spot in the studio and have the recordings accompanied there with digital and analog cameras. Unlike Corbijn photographs are the quality "amateur snapshots" and catch the band and others involved in authentic situations in about 80 pages. Can be seen from the myriad of synthesizers and guitars to remains of to-go food and Dave's water bottle how things live and in color in the studio. Unlike Corbijn photographs, this book does not transport the image of "Depeche Mode & Sounds of the Universe", but the situation and mood in the studio with Andy, Martin and Dave and other stakeholders.
Due to the nature of printing and paper, however, caution should be exercised with fat and moisture on your fingers: It gives impressions that just stand out on the black!
For avid fans who are also interested in the band itself and the atmosphere in the studio, both books are hervoragendes accessories. Just look at the album and it's almost in the studio - or the Universe.
Even the box is high quality and not only to recyclende packaging. It is titled BXSTUMM300. Nothing would be more appropriate for soon 30th anniversary of the band!
