Commissioning is fairly straightforward. After you have installed the supplied bracket to the cross-shaped base and both bolted back to the TV, it may be already installed. Connect all necessary cables and devices, choose when you first turn your language, network and source of the TV signal and after a channel scan you go. All this becomes quite simple, the menus are clear and clearly structured, so that one here immediately has the insight.
The Samsung TV has absolutely convinced me. 3D I think is especially something for the movies. Therefore, I would not necessarily needed, but it is integrated in this model nunmal. At the moment I'm not yet using 3D, but in the event that I still want to test it once and I DETERMINED appropriate eyeglasses, it is good that the TV has this down.
The picture is - of course, especially in HD channels, or Blu-ray's - excellent, but even in "normal" TV, so no HD, the picture can be quite impressive and is significantly better than with my old unit in any case , But you can clearly see that HD does not equal HD. Exist depending on the broadcaster but some significant differences. This struck me most in two, although both send in HD, when a but a slight noise was present again, while the image on the other was much clearer.
Since my previous TV was not HD-capable, I have so far not had a Blu-ray player, which I then but ordered together with the Samsung TV (Samsung BD-F5100 / EN). With Blu-rays not only am I completely satisfied with the picture and sound, in particular the image exceeds my expectations even. In such a focus, I definitely have not seen any movies. For the image quality a resounding "thumbs up"!
The factory settings of the TV were not bad, but I have a thing or two yet adjusted to optimize image and sound.
The TV has 4 HDMI and 3 USB ports. These provide enough opportunities to connect devices enige if only a USB flash drive, from which you can watch movies / videos or pictures or even can listen to music. The same applies for the connection of an external hard drive. Also take the current TV program at any time with the aid of an external hard drive. These things I have not yet tested.
The tone I find very good for a TV of this size and class, where he is of course not to compare with a good surround sound analgesia. There are different settings here. In addition to several sound modes such as "Music", "Movie" or "Clear Voice", two sound effects are turned on. These are TruSurround DTS, and DTS TruDialog. The former provides as the name implies, for better surround sound. TruDialog emphasizes the language, without the rest of the sound into the background. Additionally, there is an equalizer, over which you can adjust the sound individually.
The design of the TV, I find absolutely succeeded. The frame is really super thin, but also a resounding "thumbs up". On the sides and above it is just almost 1 cm wide, down a little more. At first glance, or from further away, for. Example, when you enter the room where the TV is, almost giving the impression of a frameless screen.
At the stand a very elegant solution was chosen with the shape of a cross and the seemingly chromed surface. The foot looks stable and gives the TV a secure footing.
Included is, of course, a remote control, which is constructed out clearly and simply, and very good in the hand. It works quite wertig, unlike those of other manufacturers that already at first glance look like something "cheap plastic" and "creaking" each time you press a button. The keys have good pressure points and, if available, the remote control can also be used for other Samsung devices.
In summary, I can say that the television not only met my expectations, but especially in HD TV and especially when watching Blu-rays even exceeds them. You get here super image and sound, packaged in a very attractive in design TV of the latest generation.
I highly recommend this device clearly.
