Clear you quickly that the young gentleman by the name of Marshall might have a Canada based in another music industry family member who is familiar with "beautiful maiden" and people with mood songs maintains. Yet the son Marc has a very different music here. Along with Jay Alexander as a duo "Marshall & Alexander" they sing Klassikpop and the voices complement each other really wonderful. This double-album with songs 2x12 now to offer the greatest hits of the last 10 years.
The first on the first CD take eight English songs, probably the best known "hand in hand" is at the beginning. "Perhaps Love" is also a little known and followed by the melancholic "Another Day" and "If You Could See Me Now". "This Is My Song" is musically with Italian charm and sounds, therefore, "Men's Delight" with a jazzy touch Swing and mock accent in singing. "Lovers Forever" is a touching love song. This is followed by an Anglo-French mix, and finally a few songs in Italian, with which also the second CD starts. These were not so much inspire me, only "Solo Tu" I found quite a bit. Also two German titles can be found on the CD that emphasizes the stylistic range of the duo again.
Amazingly, I found that most songs that I liked, I've found with a look at the song list that Dieter Falk was involved, but only at the margins.
The booklet is - shall we say - very clearly designed: Pictures, albums tracks and CD tracks. The CD information for the media player agreed with me not with the titles of best-of-album agreement, but gave other discs and tracks that are not on the best-of-plate.
Personally, I find the Best of album for my taste a little too Italian-heavy, I have the English songs better liked. My personal highlights were the first two songs, "Forever Lovers" and "You Are", which had me some already from the album "Hand in Hand" familiar. And precisely from this have I missed a couple of songs for the Best of (such as "Close To You" or "What The World Needs Now").
Still a nice Best of plate with despite Classical lighter music that I personally can not always and constantly hear, but at certain moments quite like listening times.
Marshall & Alexander offer an interesting mix of pop and classical music, and a preview is definitely worth!
