I had so often heard of Douglas Adams and the famous number 42 that I felt compelled to put me. In the end, my assessment is mixed. Sure, it's funny, sure, it reminds Monty Python (which I also like) but still I wonder just how this book could become such a myth. Perhaps because the genre of science fiction does not usually shines especially from a literary point of view (with exceptions - and that's a shame), and the comic science fiction books are not very common? Well, anyway, I'm not bored, I felt neither stunned nor exasperated. I'm curious to see the TV series and / or film. In fact, I feel particularly reassured now, when someone before me evoke Douglas Adams or the number 42, I can say with a knowing smile: ah yes! I know, and I will have the least air lingered.
