Three Great novels that draw us into a terrible time with a fabulous private investigator whose intelligence and humor are a real treat. Philip KERR managed to combine several elements: -a flawless writing says, nervous, enamelled shock sentences -Of exciting intrigues, smart, well-crafted -a true sense of suspense -an impressive historical knowledge -the ability to describe emotions and feelings of the characters so authentic so that it looks like an autobiographical account; Philip KERR demonstrated an impressive mastery and culture! And then there BERLIN, magical city, disturbing, fascinating ...... And then there was the atmosphere of the heavy Nazi Germany, terrifying ......... And then there are all those involved in these adventures, caught up in the rise of Nazism and then after the war; rushed beings, destabilized, trying to survive from day to day; the author describes with accuracy and sensitivity how part of the German population lived that period; The descriptions are so realistic, this all sounds so right, there is no judgment, no moral lesson, no caricature, but the narration of so many human adventures ... in short, everything is so well described it is MAGISTRAL. I wish I could give 6 stars in this trilogy novels because these truly are larger and allow us to lift the veil of a dark and complex period in our history and thus teach us a lot about a historical perspective, while having the real pleased to find endearing characters, read the adventures involved a brilliant detective, (it is very difficult to interrupt playback) and savor the very offbeat humor hero Bernhard GUNTHER. Awesome! Philip KERR gives the historical thriller acclaim! a reading which it is important not to deprive yourself: emotion and fun guaranteed
