How To Train Your Dragon 2 (Audio CD)

Customer Review

John Powell had in his career definitely has its moments. His scores for 'Face / Off' or the first two 'Bourne' movies I liked, the third' Bourne' score or even the first 'How to Train Your Dragon' I found the music nice, but not super. At one of my favorite composers ers has not been brought, but you can be so happy surprise. 'How to Train Your Dragon 2' is the surprise - and a thick.
In this score, everything fits together. The topics that Powell has composed, remember positive on beautiful old adventure films of the 50s / 60s, such as 'The Viking', are rapidly, multifaceted, super durchorchestriert and simply fun. Grade the variety of topics that stand out - something I miss in many recent scores - highlights the music already out of the crowd. But something should be exercised when Rasanz with quiet moments is accentuated times and never fails to hear Nordic interspersed music stylistically. The latter will appeal to anyone who has a weakness for Celtic music or even Patrick Doyle's soundtrack for 'Merida' liked.
The CD booklet is a separate sheet attached to the film director Powell praises again separately and draws as a conclusion, 'How to Train Your Dragon 2 "was Powell's best ever work. The one can not add anything. Of all the work that I know of Powell, all I can say on this score: it has here really highlight of his career so far, delivered his masterpiece.
