Mr. Hoover's Cooking
Born Dust Buster 7.2v
Born in March 2006 in the Black & Decker plants in China and
died in Belgium this September 5, 2012 at the age of 6 years.
The deceased rest in the trash after a stupid battery disease.
The cremation will take place in the regional incinerator of Walloon Brabant at 12:15 on Monday.
"You left us too soon."
Your Uncle Marcel.

You understood, I was young and innocent at the time, and I stupidly made me have a Nickel Cadmium battery that had decided not to work at all unless you are connected to 24/24 sector. ..
So I decide to shorten the suffering of my electric meter, by shooting 22 on long said aspirator became energy, yet always in perfect condition.
What's done is done!
So off I went in search of a puncture-proof vacuum cleaner, consumable zero, and powerful. A war beast of the past century in short, found in 2012 ...
a bit like my epics to find a great stove "Tefal More A Bullet," a kettle "No More Bisphenol" or steamer "Full Stainless Or Nothing".
Highly scientific parameters to be considered for this purchase are:
1. Lithium-Ion batteries.
The only that can be called "sustainable" at the moment, without much memory effect and that load quickly. We must finalize the NiCd or NiMh.
2. Power. 18V type
No way that the vacuum cleaner to sleep after 5 minutes.
I do have a little 3 year old daughter who is going crazy for making tiny crumbs and dirt of all kinds, as well as the illegal transport of playground sand in my car.
3. Long live Europe.
We buy European, it's like that, damn it to end!
4. consumables.
I do not want to buy filters, foams, brushes, caâbles, etc. Never.
First candidate: Dyson - DC34.
Natural choice because I already have a big Dyson for years, yellow classic beginning. Indestructible. zero filters, consumable zero. A kind of Nilfisk resurrection of our parents.
Result of this Dyson DC34 kitchen: Bad ...
Everything is there, except I'm a little disappointed on two points.
On one hand, we feel that the power is indisputable, but on the other, the suction head is a bit too narrow. So we aspire to bottom, but very locally. This does not raked off in total, we must aspire "inching", and in any case it is worse than the old Black & Decker on that which sucked him off.
The other negative is the ergonomics of the handle and the start / stop button. It is indeed continuously hold the button for it aspires. When you have to do all the cooking (say 10 square meters), hello tendonitis, especially as the handle is "vertical".
Personally I find it too complicated to hold.
Finally, for the price, know that you do not have a wall bracket. "Accessory" is on sale separately, and much more expensive. This is disappointing from Dyson.
Second applicant: the Rowenta Air Force 18 V
The power is there, the filters are designed property and did not virtually clog, it is less noisy than the Dyson, and Startrek look is nice.
But the fault is, again, the lack of ergonomics of the handle. It is indeed "carry" the vacuum cleaner (which is quite heavy) with voltage continuously in hand on the handle fully horizontal, which is very tiring again.
Too bad because I think it was better than Dyson. The triangular brush is really great and aspiration aspire widely. This significantly speeds up cleaning. This is really an innovation forward.
For the price, however, Rowenta has no wall support. You will therefore have to keep dragging the beast to the ground. Bèèrk ...
Third candidate and winner in my eyes: the AEG Rapido 18 V, available on Amazon.de with around 115 eur (free shipping).
The power is there, the battery charging is fast and stop when they are full (there is a slight pulse check every X minutes thereafter).
Magic of the 21st century, you have a wall mount screw or floor standing.
Finally, the ergonomics are good, just like the old Black & Decker: you have well in hand, and two small wheels support the vacuum cleaner for you.
A fault? The filter gets dirty too quickly compared to the other two models, so you need to "scrub" the filter by hand every time you empty the vacuum cleaner, but nothing serious. This hand alone.
Tough, durable, robust, 18v, German! I remain AEG.
