For my purposes, the device is ideal because it fits into any pocket books (he is as tall as a palm in a bit). Its materials can be loaded to internal memory, making a laptop obsolete. The PPX2480 can deal with the most common formats. Unfortunately, the device will not play PowerPoint presentations, as an alternative you can export presentations in PowerPoint but as jpgs and then play with the device. Practically, an infrared remote control is included, with which you can flexibly relaying the films in class.
I was not fully convinced before buying whether the light intensity for my use sufficient. In fact, you have to darken the classroom so that you have an adequate picture. Otherwise, the contrast of images and videos is definitely not sufficient. Plain text, you can also detect without darkening as long as the sun is not shining directly on the screen. The projector is projecting in a position to a size at which the class can clearly see in a normal room and writing. Overall I would say that the light intensity (very) is just above the limit that you need for the teacher everyday: it is enough, but never less. Who makes very high demands on contrast, for the device will eventually no longer be suitable. In battery mode the unit for my purpose is not to be used, since the light intensity is reduced too far.
I was critical even prior to purchase, whether the rather low tripping va enough for texts. Here the unit convinces all in all texts and videos are excellent to recognize, even if texts should not be too small, so they are clear enough. Most pictures are shown entirely sufficient, here, it can happen, however, that image details (eg small labels) are not really recognized.
The integrated speakers are not strong enough to create a wider space. The device also has a 3.5 mm jack output, which allows you to connect external speakers.
Overall, the PPX 2480 offers good performance for its size, but you can never compare with a normal projector. But one is extremely flexible and can compensate for the low light intensity sufficient with blackout. The price is for the power absolutely fine. Overall I am very satisfied with the device and therefore give 5 points because the device class of the pico-projector does not have to compete with large projectors - they simply play in another league. In his League of PPX 2480 is really good.
