After we have made an overview of the current models, our decision fell on the Siemens VS06B2410 SynchroPower.
It was important for us:
1. Good absorption capacity
2. If possible, low noise.
3. Easy handling (change of the dust bag, automatic retractable cord, weight of the unit and handling while vacuuming).
4. Low power consumption
For 2 weeks, we now have the "new" in operation and is intended to describe our experience with regard to the above criteria:
1. Suction power:
The suction power is fully satisfactory both in parquet floor as well on carpeting. It sucks everything off thoroughly, whether hair, crumbs in the carpet or lint that devoured itself have taken root in the carpet. The suction power ranges from fully for normal housekeeping. There is nothing to complain about.
On carpeting the suction must be even postponed because the suction nozzle firmly drawn at full power at the carpet.
The suction width of the floor nozzle on the other hand we find a bit too narrow. Just 26 cm measures the nozzle. In our previous figure was 28 cm.
2. noise
To this end, Siemens indicates a sound pressure level of 79 dB.
With this code you can not do anything as the average consumer actually.
Therefore briefly Policy.
79 dB is not silent, this level is comparable with an electric. Lawn mower or traffic noise.
My personal impression: If you turn the suction power to the maximum value you can just talk without shouting. A ringing phone can be heard even ...... when it is not too far away.
But acoustically pleasant it is only at half power setting.
When noise one must not expect too much.
3. Handling
Right at the start, we stumbled across the fiddly inserting the vacuum cleaner bag.
The bag must be "only" inserted and threaded complicated in no recording - so the message is Siemens. In practice, it looks a bit different. When the dust bag is not exactly in the correct position in the housing compartment, the lid is not. We've got four or five times changed the position of the dust bag until it finally worked.
Thankfully you do not make this change too often.
By contrast, the retractable cord works fine. Even if the cable is only slightly pulled out, a brief tug on the cord and have the power cord will not only automatically but also fully retracted.
The weight of the device, we feel with 4.7 kg as easily. The sucker can be perfectly grasping the handle and carry without great effort in the next room. The cord length of about 8 meters spared a also the frequent change of sockets.
4. Power consumption:
In the product description Siemens writes: "Thorough cleaning performance comparable to a 2400 W vacuum cleaner with ultra-low power consumption ....."
This statement is misleading as can be seen from the fact that the vacuum cleaner has a power of 2400 watts. This would mean that in one hour of operation 2.4 KW are wasted by suction, which in turn would cost about 50 cents per hour.
The actual performance you will find on the other hand the product data sheet or on the rating label on the device. There is indicated as a maximum power 700 watts. The pool cleaner therefore meets the requirement of the new EU directive - since September 2014 - defines the upper limit 1600 Watts.
Conclusion:
With the Siemens vacuum cleaner, we are very satisfied although there are some points that could be improved in our opinion.
Looking at the value for money is the cleaner in any case a recommendation.
