Practical travel guide

Preparation:
The netbook comes with the Linpus Linux command-line based and is in approximately two equal partitions divided: So first back up the system using Clonezilla using an external drive and an external hard drive. Then with another computer the drivers from the Acer website to download (500 MB). Then using an external drive an existing WIN7Prof 32 bit (64 bit would also, but why only 2 GB RAM and 320 GB HD) install. Then 12:04 32 bit also install Ubuntu and Windows to reduce 100GB. The final steps could of course save, but I like to have both systems on one computer.
From the preparations you can see that the device is suitable in the configuration only for experienced users.

Overall impression:
The netbook looks pleasing, stable, light and small enough to take it gladly.

I estimated that the total output is about 30% less than an AMD E450 and about 50% less than an Intel i3. Nevertheless, surfing and office jobs go without problems and movies from the library, you can view sharp and seamless. In my work habits (surfing, movies from the Media Library view) a battery charge held by about 5 hours.

Screen:
The screen is bright and dim. Font is easy to read and the colors appear natural. The screen is bright enough to work outdoors (in the shade). The resolution is 1024 x 600, so no HD. When playing movies via the HDMI output library on the HD TV remains a third of the area as a black mourning edge. The images themselves are but sharp and seamless.

Keyboard:
The buttons take up the whole width devices. They are flat and slightly springs during typing. No pressure point. Since the keys are flat, they are easier to make a mistake. Overall, the keyboard is satisfactory.
The touchpad is good, but I prefer to work with the mouse.

Emissions:
The netbook is quiet and is just little warm on the bottom. Very good.

Expandability and ease of repair:
The user can only replace the battery yourself. For further work would have to expand the keyboard with the risk of equipment damage. For repairs after the warranty period to the unit to Acer should probably send it and the question is then whether this is worth it. One question arises, for which economic life Acer has designed the netbook.

In summary:
The netbook requires in the default configuration a little effort to install, so it is only the experienced user recommends.
The netbook is nice, small, light, quiet, heats up only slightly, has a good screen and thus is a great travel companion. The keyboard is quite satisfactory for this purpose and the performance for the intended task Circle (Office, surfing, watch movies) is sufficient. Concerns could best a case of repair out of warranty prepare because all major components are inaccessible installed inside the unit.

Addition:
After installing the video drivers from Acer, the Windows graphics performance and overall performance has increased significantly
