Practice, but the dock does not work

I have this Edifier IF-350 for six months now. From the start, I made me realize that the dock would not load my ipod, even with the correct adapter and the device connected to the mains. In recent weeks, he also no longer manages to recognize and therefore to read music and podcasts that are above. I have to go through the auxiliary input jack works well, but does not offer the ability to use the remote control to select tracks to listen. So, my ipod does not lie in a vertical front, I have to ask next.
The off / off button of the device only works spasmodically, I often have to go through the remote control.
Otherwise the sound is good and the integrated battery is a real plus to easily move from one room to the other (with my ipod connected in the other hand so ...).
