I've bought a Canon PowerShot ... with GPS.
Knew from other reviews that it has a relatively high power consumption.
The power consumption is indeed confirmed ... especially with activated GPS tracking.
With only the original battery, the camera was not everyday speak holiday compatible.
After 150 photos was partly beautiful fini -> Battery empty. With GPS tracking even before.
So - AMAZON help!
Have bought 2 batteries Patona. (2 - so that the -unbegründet Hohen- Shipping costs are amortized)

Now in detail:
Fit: battery fits perfectly into the camera and the battery charger. That's why no-mm details.
Weight: original battery: 23 g, substitute: 19g
Whoa, what has the weight to the performance of an impact? ---> A huge.
I started with the weighing with replacement cartridges.
Then when replacement NiCad batteries. and now also in Li-polymer batteries.
The simple fact -> The more mass, the more capacity.
The Test.
As with all other manufacturers, the battery is fitted last in the unit.
One must then live with him.
The purchase of a replacement battery makes you look only thoughts when one is faced with the fact: "Low Battery, Please change". So; prefer to have a more present when the manufacturer already does not, let's say, 550 photos guaranteed.
How is the true capacity can be determined? This can actually be done only on a laboratory scale. With each photo, lightning, short film etc.
Test:
I have reformatted a 16GB high speed card before each test.
The battery several times formatted and loaded freshly inserted into the camera.
Video recordings made at approximately the same lighting conditions until the battery was empty.
(The apparatus allowed a 15-minute recordings. So started multiple times)
Original Battery: 15: 17 + 15: 20 + 15: 15 + 13: 20 min (after card full) + 10 minutes playback
Patona battery: 18: 59 + 16: 58 + 15: 39 - then battery empty
Both PANTONE batteries supplied approximately the same results.
Practice test, so photo with and without flash confirmed the test results:
The capacity for original battery is approximately 60-75%.
A purchase is worthwhile. From 2 batteries shipping costs no longer fall so significant.
