Price / performance adequately

After I shot with my Canon EOS 450D and the kit lens (18-55) for some time, my desire had come to have a little more zoom range, but without the "Wide" to lose. Thus I found the focal length of 18-200mm very attractive, of course, to the price. I decided to keep the lens as I was able to achieve in itself so good (to my mind) Photos (exteriors). While the zoom ring is quite stiff and extended the lens looks bad after plastic from (such as 3 plastic cups), but, well, the image counts for me. Thus, price and performance is in the balance. Unfortunately, there are hardly lenses in the middle price region for this zoom range with better light levels. It seems that the focus is on low-budget and high-end. In between there is a gap. Thus, I have also found webnig alternatives. Negative should be noted that the distortion 18mm ++ area is already very clear, so I put my kit lens continue on. For short trips by bicycle / little luggage my lens ranges from completely but. 4 stars are appropriate here.
