To Hardware:
From housing and the feel and the processing I am completely surprised. The aluminum casing feels good and very valuable. The keyboard hardly needs getting used to, the tactile feedback is good. Verarbeitungsmägel as with other reviews (pixel errors, dust on the display, functionless keys lopsided Mouspad etc) I can not confirm. Everything is optimally processed.
The processing power (I3) is sufficient for the mobile sector (Office, Internet, video, etc.) completely out. Even with parallel applications I can not make any negative comments on the performance profile. (More is always clear, but given the price and intended use of my perfectly OK) Even when playing Blu-ray (HD) movies and parallel Anwendnungen boils liquid. Very positive is the boot process, which occurs despite the lack of SSD relatively quickly within a few seconds. (No comparison to my old VAIO)
The display is sufficiently bright reflected, however. The answer is a foil. Would be for me but not a criterion for exclusion, as other displays in the price range are only marginally better in direct sunlight.
Battery:
The point deduction is available for the battery performance, with average use intensity (WLAN, Office, Internet and brighter display lighting) ca 3 - 4 hours.
Office 8.1:
Outside the vote remain my experience with Office 8.0 or 8.1. The familiarization takes a long time and so I slowly discover the benefits of the new operating system. The greatest difficulty lay in the update of Windows 8.1 on that would not start and the manual (individual) each update installation required (86 pieces). The solution to the problem has lasted nearly a week. With individual share-freeware programs can be the familiar Start menu restore from APPs let us from the normal applications in a clear and normal way to start. Indispensable for me. Without these helpers that would win 8.1 for me no alternative.
Well that ends well .. after 3 weeks of use ... so far a clear recommendation.
