Those who want to test the program only once, can get a trial version of CyberLink. I can unfortunately not use direct links, Google helps.
The hardware requirements for PowerDVD vary depending on played back Inhalten- for Bluray it takes zBnatürlich a suitable drive for HD or 4K videos a fast graphics card and an appropriate monitor for 3D TV or a 3D data goggles with 3D. The operating system is enough XP SP 3 pending, Vista, 7 and 8 / 8.1 are supported.
The installation was smooth, an existing PowerDVD 13 I have uninstalled previously. PowerDVD is to scale able videos and zuverbessern image quality. In most cases, I found the result very well the software tends strongly to raise contrast and sharpness. In some films, the improvement did not fit the very character of the film, in my view, but in principle a good thing.
There are for PowerDVD an app that can control PowerDVD, via DLNA. This works for me but not because I have not the computer via WLAN network but via Ethernet. shame really. In this context, a little shame: there is the app for IOS and Android, but not for Windows Smartphone (or I simply can not be found). A visit CyberLink and their apps worth it apart but also for Nichtkunden- on the website a few apps available that are partially free and work reasonably well (image editing, video editing, image management ...).
Piece Kineasten will freuen- on the accelerated playback of Bluray that goes really fast going. Youtube fans to videos from Youtube can download and that is a function in which I am not quite sure how the law estimate but the actual should judge others.
In summary: very good player with image enhancement, remote control via app (when the computer via wifi on the same network) 5.1 surround support, a number of additional functions.
Bargain hunters and environmentalists can waive the media and packaging and sale via download, there are test versions to try out. All good.
The price is totally reasonable for what is offered, playback of Bluray requires a license from the manufacturer, which is not cheap. I hope that it will soon be available for Windows Phone Remote app.
