I asked the support of ASUS, but I finally did not wish to fix it myself, thinking that there must be still other bugs and it was not for me to play the role of " beta tester ". Amazon reimbursed me illico (perfect as always in case of problems, thank you Amazon) and the tablet is now home. But what annoyed and what a waste of time! I do not understand how one can pass such a huge bug in 2013 from Asus is beyond me.
Technical Support ASUS replied (not in the announced times but never mind). I copy here the essence of the response because I did not find anything on the internet for this bug, this fairly recently released tablet on the market in France:
"In your message, I understand that you are having a problem with the keyboard keys which are offset.
To address this concern, I suggest you to perform an automatic update, by following the steps below:
1. Please go to the "Settings" menu - "About tablet" - "System Update / firmware"
2. Press "Search for updates"
If the concern is not addressed, please switch on the Google French keyboard.
To choose the French keyboard Google thank you to follow the steps: Settings -> Language & input -> Default-> Google French keyboard.
Anyway, our support has gone up the situation towards the department concerned in order to release a new firmware version that will correct this defect.

Please note that the serial number is located under the unit with the reference S / N: and that starts with B or C or D; this one has 12 characters. He is also on the original box and in the Warranty Book. "
If it helps those in the same situation.
I try to present another model, without such a rude bug ... and not necessarily Asus now ...
