This book is not quite in the same vein as most others. The story is quite slow, the plot does not bounce much (although it is very catchy), but this is probably the best written of all Le Carré. The player wandered from one character to the other, exploring the feelings of each of them with remarkable finesse. The style is "to die for" and the internal reflections are sometimes, I find, breathtaking.
