Problems with call forwarding, voicemail and hotline.

Have I bought the Fritzbox 7490 to replace an older router, far too hung still a 15 year old Tiptel 810S clip PABX telephone system off (with whom I was very happy !!!!). So I have a DSL / ISDN connection with 10 numbers where I can use 2 lines simultaneously (so far), or should be able to (Fritz box). : O /

But I was on time the 8 TAE connections with the whole telephones and answering machines / Power Supplies just too much fuss.
The Fritz box is supposedly described as "replaces ISDN PBX" a full-fledged. Get rid of the view here all my devices in one fell swoop my heart beat faster of course and so I've bought the legendary supposed panacea.
Unfortunately then came quite quickly a certain disillusionment.

- Call forwarding should only set directly on the telecom server! If you do that then you see then the call forwarding in the Fritz box that is ever good because the fun stops as well as on. If you then call diversion in the telecom server deletes again, then she is still seen in the box! Conversely, you delete it in the Fritz box, the Telekom Server but is still the call forwarding active! The AVM hotline has also admitted that the Fritzbox has coordination problems with the Telekom servers. In plain English: Diversion of Fritzbox you can forget. Who wants to work safely set the forwarding always in the telecom server.

- The device is advertised as "up to 5 answering machines," but unfortunately we described neither on the package, be mentioned in the manual that you can only discuss them ONE at the same time. The same time-record 2 ABs is not possible!
But I need this function urgently because we get a lot of calls and the answering machine must (at least 2 at the same time) can use parallel.

That you can use only one AB simultaneously ma would still could get over, if you have a 2nd answering machine with call forwarding would as a workaround to set up.

- Call forwarding when it is set up as time runs however, not properly. So not only the decor was the call forwarding feature is not without problems, even if it adjusts to the Telekom servers, even then it does not work sometimes!
Example: I call on the analog line FON1, or it is speaking there someone to tape, then directed to a 'Diversion on busy' on one of the internal answering machine that goes' but, unfortunately, not vice versa. Does anyone speak precisely on the internal AB, you can not redirect to the analog connection! As I said call forwarding I have set in the telecom server.

This means that the Fritzbox has problems when someone responds to the internal from the telecom server 'tell' that the line is busy, so the call forwarding does not work out well!

What is fact is clear that someone phoned on the analog line and SIMULTANEOUSLY someone on one of the other lines (incl. The internal para) calls. Likewise, the reverse: it discusses someone just the internal AB and one is through conventional analog landlines still fully accessible.

In particular, I was annoyed about the hotline. Was the telephone hotline but still quite friendly and helpful, so it was by mail is not good: in a mail I had asked 3 questions: the first two questions were kid stuff that I had finally answered myself in the course of my research. The third question was somewhat more challenging but by no means unsolvable: however, were answered only the first two questions that are actually interesting question number three was studiously 'overlooked'.

In another mail I have described the problems associated with call forwarding. The answer I found quite rude. There was a cryptic, disjointed succession of several major sets.
Telekom ,, accused the Fritz box is of course properly.
Incidentally, I was looking for in my despair online for an alternative to internal From the Fritzbox and also found: just search for 'cospace' googling, which is a free online voicemail including virtual fax machine..
In cospace you can free set 3 numbers within a few minutes, without identity card, identity verification or whatever including 3 connected. Virtual answering machine. Even numbers with its own area code. (Let us say for example 030- Berlin) so callers do not notice that it is not connected to you but 'only' to the cloud. Numbers do not like a clicking away until you have the number one commitments.

However, one can truly fax these numbers only for virtual and use as AB not to call.

The answering machine, but then so much the better! Much clearer than the Fritzbox AB. No limitation (!!!) of calls Fritzbox calls 256 (8bit = O). Calls play back directly, the Fritz box always puts a commemorative 4-5 seconds, depending on the length of the calls. (Actually, the Fritzbox comparatively sluggish menus). You also get times just yet given 5GB of cloud storage.

(By the way: In cospace you can even with 3 callers simultaneously on the same call number / the same AB-record without busy signals (more I've not tried it), as I said at Fritzbox max 1 caller..

In addition, in the Fritzbox no comments / notes are applied to the calls to cospace that's no problem.

Overall, the AB Fritzbox is easy to use, however, limited and comparatively inflexible in the functions
Here again my criticism to Fritzbox 7490 summarized:

- Setting up call diversion extremely flawed
(Better only at Telekom Server Setup)
- Call forwarding works partially incorrect
(Had with my 15 year old Tiptel 810 never had problems!)
- To use only 1 AB simultaneously, AB quite simple, no comfort
- Hotline, well, goes like this.
- Hotline pushes problems Fritzbox the blame on the Telekom

The problem with the call forwarding (both in the establishment and in the actual function) and the meager minimum answering the Fritzbox replaced certainly no PBX.

If the Fritz box still keep only times courageous. Finally, soon switched to IP telephony at the end turns out well possible nor that the Fritz box is the least of all evils' m here already of people read the problems I had to telecom equipment, but even reversed.
