In this immature state, I can the product - unfortunately, conceptually, it is really good - absolutely not recommended.
I should mention that I previously had a WD MyBook Studio in use - this was completely without problems and from the outset perfectly into hibernation.
UPDATE 23.12.2013:
Now that I have a second Wd My Cloud 3TB with exactly the same standby symptom here have (would have actually may be that the first model was faulty), I sat down with the support.
WD post here always in all kinds of reviews that you may yet please put in touch with him to. My conclusion: up to standard questions posed by the support, have apparently even no clue where the fault lies. Anyway, then pretty fast end of the line at the other end of the telephone line. After the deactivation had virtually all Server services on the My Cloud brought nothing (fundamental question: why should I then buy a My Cloud, if I have anything that distinguishes disable), I was asked, but please log on transmit, which is created in the software of My Cloud. Made, done - after that I never heard back from the support. Neither inquiries, suggestions or otherwise. This is now only 14 days ago.
Dear WD Support: it is not enough publicity to ask here in any bad review of your product to contact us, if that's all then. My suggestion would be in this case: saves you the support department - for the customer it makes no difference (answer or solution it does not get so), but WD saves money that perhaps could be put into the development of a mature product which the customer not robbed last nerve.
A trial basis introduced in the same network Apple Time Capsule has no problems with the standby: unpack, plug, switch on, ready. Plate goes smoothly after a few minutes in Standby mode when not in use, and wakes up with desired access on the part of the system also as reliable again. Without any great configuration options, just from the factory.
I have two plates now returned and explained the theme WD My Cloud for me as completed. If I want to have a private cloud, I look around at other manufacturers.
