You get here quite a lot of radio for the money.
Display:
The colors can be extremely finely adjust and then the car radio fits well with the look of the car.
It is also possible to have change color depending on whether the ignition is on / off. Better it is really not in this respect!
I personally has not passed a line on the display.
Sound, adjusting and connection options:
As you would expect in a car radio in this price range is all available, adjustable crossover / Crossover for speakers and amplifier outputs and so on ... the sound is - if you set the system correctly - very good.
Bluetooth:
coupling with the phone was expected to easily set up
___aber___ voice quality during calls was really an underground operation (micro-bad?) and actually really useless. For me, an absolute knockout point.
While the pairing with the mobile phone (remote control) worked, but is more gimmick than helpful in my eyes, for example, you can not (something I had expected) go through the folder or view playlists, more than the next song / previous song is here actually not there ... what a shame! that would have had real potential. Adjusting the sound parameters etc but was not possible because the corresponding app could not connect to the radio here. > KO-point.
Radio:
There is no DAB antenna here, but there is here on Amazon a so-called "KIT" ie a set which includes the antenna and is cheaper. I can not make any statements about the reception quality here thus. Moreover, most retrofit DAB antennas are huge and ugly, and I think something has nothing to look for on the windscreen> here so half the car to be dismantled by the antenna, for example in a 2-seater in one of the rear wheels to glue.
FM radio was not tested due to lack of interest.
USB:
The "zap" through the tracks was only suitable for small sticks / collections and very sluggish due to the one-line display.
I had, incidentally, expect that is the Radio 2 (two) USB ports has since it with "Dual USB" advertised, dual USB but Sony does nothing more than that the only (and front) USB port 1000mA has and thus to invite is suitable, then that dual USB.
If you have plugged a flash drive, it shone very brightly through the opening. Moreover, the USB cover flap seemed very fragile.
CD drive:
Was unimportant to me and more "nice-to-have": Not tested
NFC:
Has me _NICHT_ works (HTC ONE M7 with Custom ROM & Root to Android 4.4.3)! (But is only available for the Bluetooth pairing) ... something can be realized with any Bluetooth radio and an NFC sticker!
I have the "Alpine CDE 178bt" gained by this radio, it has all the connections back, class folder navigation with 3 rows The big display (which unfortunately is only white) and rotary knob operation, CD slot behind the front panel and has even more and finer adjustment than this Sony. for though no DAB. On DAB I put incidentally no value because I pieces in the car several thousand mp3 mitführe :)
