The first delivered device had something like a pixel error, so a permanent luminous point within the otherwise really quite send dot matrix display.
The second, delivered as a replacement had this problem, but here is the backlight a "beautiful" gradient from black (or gray) left and right to green in the middle of the display. I do not know how they manage it, since presumably only monochromatic, white LEDs are used for illumination.
An alarm there, as already noted by other reviewers, not.
More exchanges I'll no longer perform - the part goes back. I have in the living room a self-made replica of the great Qlocktwo and thought to get here for cheap money a small word clock for the bedroom. Given the miserable quality of the part, however, is likely to max. half cost, but even if it did, I would not want to keep it. Since then I renounce prefer.
