Here's my review:
was positive:
- A nice big screen
- Very responsive to every touch
- Fast route calculation
But the negative aspects outweighed
negative:
- Connect before operating only on PC and hours update (current, nerves, registering)
- No operation manual here, they advertise the simplicity of the device, I'm shocked in front of incomprehensible symbols on the screen
- There is no easy button, where you can enter an address, all mixed country, city, zip code, attractions - it was horrible
- After 4 hours charging on PC one thinks that the device is fully charged (no battery icon), but after 1 hour drive the machine without warning goes into sleep mode, great panic because the charging cable does not attach, so all GPS running at disconnected full speed on the highway and the charging cable attached !!! The fright of my life! So necessarily make improvements: 1) Battery type 2 signal) lighter device for cable and lighter mount GPS on the mount
- The voice was very quiet, I could not see anywhere that I could make a loud
- You can only choose to German, other languages do not exist
- Of current traffic situation you could not see anything, construction sites did not exist, one-way streets, it did not recognize, I felt less informed than if I would have gone without Navi, but that was the USP of TomTom and the reason why you had to register in advance disappointing
- Blitzer was 1x displayed on 340m, but the number did not count down, so I was unable to use anything
- Speed limits was not always up to date
- Alternative routes were calculated only very slowly
Overall my TomTom was far too ambitious technique, but is already behind the basic expectations of a Navi far back. For me, a Navi itself must open up and not think that you have to pay even hundreds of pages of instructions (and that too online, for a printed guide was not) read, is out of the question. Far too many gimmicks that requires no human being. But the excessive price. For me !!! Never
