Head lies just on my tripod mount and feels very sturdy. Apart from a few screws is all made of solid metal. As expected and expect from Manfrotto.
The Schliergeraeusche described in other reviews came with me after the first installation on also. I have the tripod head a few times then completely disappear in all directions rotated and tilted and out were this way. Since then I can state order Schleifgeraeusche no problems with Schliersee.
When turning the Feststellschreuben for the Fluessigkeitsdaempfung you notice some slack until the resistance changes, but this is no restriction in the operation.
The whole structure is made solid and weighs a corresponding amount, everything seemed very stable and high quality. The Fluessigkeitsdaempfung ABLE great gentle and gleichmaessige pans in the vertical as horizontal; the resistance can be continuously adjusted by means of 2 rotating wheels. vertically brings a fairly strong spring head always returns to its normal position. To prevent this, you have to either adjust the resistance very strong or take the fixing screw for help.
The quick release plate is also easy to handle. Only the locking screw this is somewhat impractical placed but has a mechanism that erlechtert operation.
I use the tripod head with Manfrotto tripod for a Canon 650D without Rig. We had also plan a Nikon D800. Both works perfectly, with cameras could have up to 4 kg on the stand space. For heavier cameras, the return spring of the vertical Panhead likely fit better.
The only drawback, the handle has a little play during vertical panning. This is in contrast to the game at the Fluessigkeitsdaempfung is one restriction. I will look at the more accurate; possibly aknn you the remedy easy.
Conclusion: For the price a bargain. Professional quality, very close to the greats like something Sachtler.
Update: now head for some time very happy and still in use. However Schliergeraeusche occur after a week disuse again, but disappear after some 'movement' again.
