Design & comfort: ****
As much as I hate this point, many people seem to put on it that the in-ears are stylish great value. Well, 5 points for color choice, not visible or irritating seams, superb cable design etc., but unfortunately only 3 stars for size and weight. They are still a long way out, and are not exactly lightweights in their discipline.
However, said point deduction reflected unexpectedly not negative in comfort down.
Sound: ****
Now to the most important point in my opinion.
The tonal range is incredible. Comparable I've seen only in reference headphones of price ranges 300+. And even from the classes can not keep some listeners. So you can hear for example. in You can not take it with you from As Tall As Lions actually two bass tracks over each other without these leaken in the centers or abdumpfen the brilliant chime sounds in the high places. So for tonal spectrum here's a whopping 5 pts., If possible, even more.
The Klnagbild is fairly balanced. However, already on the warmer side. The ratio of height to the middle is very well balanced and I could label as perfect even so. In the infamous bass which has been lacking in the siblings of the XBA series, something was cheated here. They are a little (!) Bit over-the-top. However, this is a point which does not fall in comparison with other in-ears significant. Comparing the handset eg. with the Sennheiser IE 80, the Sony Bass is even almost poor! So we give also here times especially given the price range 5 pts.
Now for the downer, but the downgrades My rating of the initial 5 points to 4. The spatiality. For this, I can not forgive a maximum of 3 points.. Where other in-ears (especially Beyerdynamic DX101 or 160), the sound image "pull them apart and create a certain space, this looks very" compressed ". This lack of space is unfortunately minimal compromise in clarity. This is but already bleating at very high levels.
Finally, a thought that will perhaps help some to better introduce these listeners: I was the listener something to a studio headphones AKG à la reminds you with a slightly larger frequency spectrum.
So I have this review, unfortunately with more than earned 4 pts. Conclude. In conclusion remains a highly recommended for the price range handset. Who the sound spectrum is important, which is the budget at 250, - here happiest. Who is willing to take a cut in the frequency domain in order to better spatiality and possibly resulting therefrom have a better clarity, perhaps should look at Beyerdynamic.
ps .: the silicone / foam / whatever Eartips are probably for one or the other a huge selling point for me unfortunately only nice, but not absolutely necessary gimmick. I suppose there prefer the conventional variant.
