Advantages:
-Who 5 years old Navis is accustomed will immediately notice that TomTom is very fast. In a short time, ready in a few seconds calculates the route and planned within the shortest possible time with the wrong turning a new route.
-After The route has been calculated, a map showing the entire route will be displayed first, so that you ever know where to go. All major cities are displayed, so that you can actually see the way at a glance.
-Übersichtliche Route: turn and turn as Special Actions are displayed as arrow symbols. So we know early on when to flash and where you demonstrated capacity to drive.
-The Menu is very colorful and clear. To get started, there are small tours, also more complicated settings without guidance no problem.
-Easy To use: The touchscreen can be easily operated with a finger. The points on which you need to press, are a good size. One need not be particularly good instinct for the operation.
-There Are many verscheidene POIs (Point of Interest), for example. Casino, university, post office or veterinarian. This can have a look at during the trip on the map or search for products. TomTom, for example, show all restaurants nearby with names and accurate distance and the desired course lead immediately.
-Who About Internet offers can easily check for updates, and renew his maps. With Maps Haring (other users update the map and share this information with TomTom on) is completely free. Other services cost a lot of money for it. To display radars you pay for example just under 50 euros per year. The downloads and updates run fast and (at least for me) also smoothly.
-Even Without Internet are the 2GB Memory almost full capacity right from the start. TomTom is chock full of maps, languages and programs. One must therefore order in addition raufzuladen something first move unwichte data to your computer.
Weaknesses:
-The TomTom has only a USB port, and to get the plug because inside is very fiddly. Possible while driving only with practice.
-For Topic IQ: The Tomtom actually manages to calculate the route according to traffic density and recommended depending on the time in some cases very different routes. This is most useful. However, it underestimated partly the rush hours. If you want to drive, for example, at rush hour through downtown Hamburg you need up to twice as long for the route, as Tomtom has calculated it.
-For The pedestrian TomTom One IQ Routes is not always recommended. It is sometimes not the most direct route to, but calculates the route as if the vehicles. Because TomTom me did not want to expect to cross a 2m wide green strip it steered me to the next "U-turn", of which I then "turn" on the parallel pedestrian should. It shows the current position on some 30m exactly (for Geocaching therefore totally unsuitable).
-In Very gloomy weather leaves a TomTom sometimes down. So it may take times for 10 minutes at a very heavy cloud cover in the worst case, until it has received.
Conclusion:
The TomTom ONE IQ Routes is worth the money. It is easy to use, periodically updatable, easy to handle and has many functions. Really intelligent but it is not and sometimes it let you down.
