Negative:
- Unfortunately, the process used to make the screen protector matte screen that appears with a kind of highly visible stationary texture which decreases detail and gives the impression of looking at the screen through a bumpy glass. The sub-pixel screen appear irregularly, and so instead of uniformly see the colors displayed, the more we see the red, green and blue elements of the screen.
- I think it could have been much better if the "grain" of the matte surface was much finer, preventing glare without distorting the pixels / sub-pixels of the image. For example, my PC screen ASUS PA238Q is matte but does not exhibit the problem. Obviously that is especially bothersome on the Nexus 4 because the pixels are very small.
Conclusion: This is especially for the matt appearance that I wanted this protection, since in my opinion this type of protection will not prevent the screen to break if dropped anyway, and the Nexus screen 4 seems scratch resistant. But there, the loss of definition is too large. So in the end I prefer not to put any protection at all.
