Personal Opinion:

Currently, John Green's latest novel "The Fault in our Stars" in his native America on everyone's lips. And some bloggers in this country have praised his latest book in the sky. Reason enough for me, the book finally to buy because even John Greens short story from the book "Days like these" (OT: "Let it snow") I liked incredibly well. But now it goes first to the meeting to an older book by Green, which I have the same system sold. In "Paper Towns" (dt Title:. "Margo's footsteps") embarks the reader in the sunny Orlando / Florida. This is the home of 17-year-old protagonist Quentin.

The story begins with a flashback in the Quentin is only 9 years old. His best friend at that time, in which he was secretly in love, is the same age Margo Roth Spiegelman. They are inseparable and make us share in their well schicksalträchtigsten day. In the first chapter, the reader is again in Quentin's presence. Margo and he have alienated years ago. And while Margo has become the most popular girl at school, Quentin hangs at the `Nerds' rum. But one night everything changes. His former girlfriend shows up at his window and brings him to commit to her revenge on the supposed friends. And so they work from 11 trains from Margo's revenge list. Dawn they go their separate ways. But Quentin's hoping to be Margo closer again is rekindled. He tortures himself after the night out drinking tired to school. By Margo but there is no trace. The days pass, and Quentin starts are very worried. Together with his friends Ben and radar he sets out in search of clues that could have possibly left Margo. So you can find out things about you that would never Quentin suspected to Margo. The more he fixed to the apparently intentionally left behind notes, the more he loses himself in Margo's world. But is Qentin his childhood sweetheart ever see, or is it for Margo and it far too late?

"... All those paper people living in Their paper houses, burning the future to stay hot ..."
~ Margo, P. 57

With Quentin Green created an authentic, sympathetic protagonists of perhaps not part of the hippest clique, but knows what is true friendship. He found no doubt in Ben and radar friends, give the book a little spice. This book led one not only on a road trip through the USA. It is a story about growing up, and how to be still preserved his dreams.

"... All These scary-as-hell clues. All this intimation of tragedy. But no place. Nothing to hold on to. Like trying to climb a mountain of gravel ..." ~ Quentin, P. 154

Conclusion: "Paper Towns" has been a real discovery for me. The story about Quentin and his search for the true and Margo herself, combines many moods. Funny, perceptive, dreamy, adventurous, and not to forget the eloquent dialogues. This mixture makes this award-winning book to treasure. I often have to laugh heartily. And just as often, I read this book very quietly, with tears in his eyes and completely banned. Baptism of fire, Mr. Green. I look forward now even more so in his other works.
