Quality down from the old version

Successor of the excellent Razer eXactMat, this mat in 2 parts resumes principle, any lowering in quality ...
A reduced width of 5 cm good, plastic finishes, protects a wrist downgraded ... There are times when we wonder why some manufacturers are changing so much as a concept that worked.

[A carpet in 2 parts]
The gel palm rest is separated from the rigid mat. It integrates a kind of silicone mat to slide under the second part, to keep everything.
The rigid part has two faces (fast and accurate). Basically, a smooth face and a granulated. Everything is pretty nice.

[The reduced width]
Remove 5 cm of the width of the eXactMat and it gives that of Vespula. If we appreciate the small footprint on the desk, he'll have time to adjust to avoid continuing to drag off the mat.
As for the wrist rest, which was so nice on the old model. For some reason, he lost about 20% of its size ... Economies of scale?

[The double plastic effect]
Gros rant! Where it was used was aluminum finishes for eXactMat, we find ourselves on the Vespula with plastic finishes a Glossy effect that will appeal to those wishing to leave fingerprints on everything they touch.
I'm really disappointed about this, because if the Vespula has a very nice shape, it is much more plastic toy than its predecessor.

[Final notice]
Only carpet I find interesting in the current market (rigid double sided + wrist rest), the Vespula unfortunately does not hold a candle to its predecessor: the eXactMat!
The shape is nice, but the quality is severely reduced ... Well incomprehensible choices from a larger manufacturer of PC accessories.
