Why Andreas Eschbach has this (well below average) and Screenplay a cast of its kind approved, will remain a mystery forever. This film goes no relationship to connect with the book, it is its own (action overloaded) history (almost completely detached from the book concept), which is always embarrassing with increasing duration. All clichés of a thousand times verbratenen action scenes are strung together in a shorter time: Dieter Bohlen and those who produce for RTL and Pro7, would probably write such a (childish) screenplay. So then there is also a Cobra also at the very beginning of this enervating actions. Mr. Superstar Hero solves all problems!
If you look accidently this movie before the book, but this is the good news: the book is a must! It deals with the issue of what Jesus really taught and how could the Church this view for their own (power) redefined purposes. In this field of tension Eschbach developed a thriller, the heading at the end conceptually a real highlight, during the movie in the truest sense of the word silted.
