A Sunday Night Above the Rain (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Marillion has again brought out with "A Sunday Night Above The Rain" my judge it after a very atmospheric live experience as a double CD. The overwhelming part consists of the last studio album "Sounds That Can not Be Made". Once again I have the impression that Marillion's music is more and more intense to bear as a live recording. The sound quality is excellent, and again you can feel how the spark of music and the charm of the band overflows to the public. This is very clear now in the second song of the album "Waiting To Happen". The audience happily agree with one. I was the song "Gaza" drawn from his 19 minutes completely spellbound and it works for me even more inspired than on the studio CD. A real highlight of the concert. Not to forget the magnificent rendition of "This Strange Engine". Almost 19 minutes gets offered a gebalte hard to beat charge progressive rock at its finest one. Alone this is worth the purchase of the album. But there is anyway no loss on this CD. Finally, there is even a "Garden Party" in the Set List a. Overall, "A Sunday Night Above the Rain" re a true feast for the ears and I'm sure that friends of this wonderful band will not miss the work missed.
I wish you all much joy in this concert experience, as I have for days.
