Shipping:
I was pleasantly surprised when I got the keyboard four days before the stated delivery time. The shipment lasted three days. They came out unscathed and in the original packaging.
First Impression:
This device is really nice and small, extremely flat (hence ergonomically beneficial), super chic and mega easy. Due to the weight one might think at first glance, the keyboard is a bit cheap; but not true. Personally, I find rather that this is an advantage. Material is good, bottom made of aluminum. Therefore, stable and bend only slightly. Processing is fine. Some edges on the edges and joints of the housing; but does not interfere further. On the whole, a very nice part, but not really a mega high-quality luxury products (see price).
Keyboard:
The keys are of course somewhat smaller than full-size keyboards. But I think you can get used to it. Nevertheless, ten-finger writing feels only times funny. The keys have a pleasant, not too much pressure point and make a laptop keyboard-like sound that does not sound cheap, but there are also beautiful keyboard sounds. When writing this text, I notice that sometimes (rarely) a letter is lost. This is more likely to be not on the Bluetooth connection, but at the switching point of the keys. You just have to press completely correct.
Despite the photos, these are a QWERTY keyboard. Complete with öäü and ß. Even the punctuation in the right place, which is important for the ten-finger writing very beneficial. However, one must first set (which you will also be asked) the keyboard layout. Simply select Germany and it works. The only thing that really bothers me is that the shift key is present only once. Namely left. Something stupid, if you two used to. Now you have to, if the first letter is written with the left hand, then set with the left. Matter of habit. People with two-finger search system can be but no matter. (But honestly, with two-finger search system you can just write the on-screen keyboard)
The keyboard has a bunch of function keys: e-mails, mark all, refine mark, copy, cut, paste (also works with Ctrl + C, + X, + V), play, pause, blablabla, volume, home screen, menu and browser. Even the tablet, the screen can be turned on and off.
Connectivity:
I use the keyboard with the Sony Xperia Tablet Z and it works flawlessly. Coupling was super easy and fast. Simply turn on NFC, switch on the keyboard, touch it once and you're done. The device is automatically linked and each time connected when it is turned on (and Bluetooth is active). Luckily, the blue LED will turn off to indicate the Bluetooth pairing with an active connection. So it does not disturb the whole time.
Writing with the phone works well. In my case with the Sony Xperia L. The coupling has, however, does not work the first time. "Manually" connect had in the settings. But is probably the slightly older version of Android (4.2.2).
Conclusion:
If you are looking for a compact Bluetooth keyboard, which is not cheap and has everything that you need, then the Sony BKB10 is certainly the right one.
Beautiful part is working properly, writing in 10-finger system makes sense and is really much faster. Price / quality I find okay. I got used to while writing this review just to the smaller keys and the lonely shift key. Good Buy.
An endurance test of the battery life will take place once the school has started again.
If over time yet what result I will late filing it.
