Reliable outdoor camera with a small manufacturing defect

For image and reception quality I can forgive good 4 stars.
The IR function properly.

Up and running is a bit more complicated but with a little knowledge network in about 15 minutes feasible.

The alarm function has worked always reliable. Only strong rain or light changes have so far led to false alarms that disrupt not continue.
Only the trip occurs sometimes a little late so that can be seen when the fault then the triggering person only on a 5 five shot pictures or record only briefly. Would still yet 4 out of 5 stars.

Now, however, a blatant and not apologetic manufacturing flaw!

The camera which so clearly as Weatherproof Outdoor Security Camera is distributed, is distributed with a non-approved for outdoor power supply! The cables are not protected against moisture or even splashing.

Thus, this camera should strictly speaking not be operated outdoors.
If you want to it anyway so you have additionally a secure electrical box for outdoor use where all the cables (Netwerk-, electricity and camera reset cable) can be accommodated. This must of course be attached directly to the camera making an unobtrusive positioning of the camera is impossible ...

Therefore are here because of the good camera bask only 2 star in it, since the camera is clearly not suitable for outdoor use, with no additional modifications or installations.

Good image quality for this price range
Good reception quality
IR operation (good pictures even at night)
Versatile alarm functions (e-mail delivery with pictures, recording on a PC or server)

Contraindications:

Not suitable for outdoor use / approved power supply and wiring
The antenna socket of the camera rotates while tightening the antenna with quickly.

I can therefore know about the camera is limited, because it is so can not be used for safety reasons for the very purpose as Weatherproof Outdoor Camera. 2 of 5 stars
