I can only say that the new Robbie single is absolutely great !!! Only teen fans may be disappointed about it. People around the 30 (like me) will love "Radio", because he is strongly reminiscent of the New Wave of the '80s, Gary Numan, Duran Duran, etc. The latter is no accident: Stephen Duffy, a founding member of Duran Duran, has taken the place of Robbie's ex-co-songwriter Guy Chambers and probably stands for the new direction. Know you not that there is Robbie, one would recognize him neither vocally nor sound-wise in the piece. Robbie deserves definitely respect for having once published something else and not to step on the spot. OK, the risk of this single is in unless perhaps on the small side, because that will sell thus graduated tends Best-Of album anyway like hotcakes. But the people who call Rob's new single as disappointing are probably already so blinded by the daily radio monotony that they can no longer inspire experiments of their artist. Pity! A word about the accompanying video clip: How cool are Rob's dance moves? And I'm not even an acknowledged fan of Mr. Williams, but song and video simply fit perfectly together.
