On the AVM Fritz! Dect 200 I now since the IFA 2012 in Berlin waiting, when it was announced by AVM.
One of the probably first copies I received yesterday.
It is with the Fritz! Dect 200 not only to a "power consumption counter", as falsely claimed in a review here. But the price would actually much too high.
The Fritz! Dect 200 is a multi-function socket, the (only with the latest FW 5:50!), Such as the 7390 (), allows the entry into the home automation in conjunction with an AVM routers.
With the Fritz! Dect 200 to the connected devices allow remote switching (up to altogether. 2300 Watt).
The work scheduled, but also manually on the Fritz! Dect 200 or from any PC or smartphone.

The Fritz! Dect 200 comes with a little "manual" that helps in the initial installation.
For this, the Fritz! Dect 200 registered at the Fritz box, which is easy and problem-free either via the web interface of the Fritz box or by pressing the button on the DECT Fritzbox of equip. After the Fritz! Dect 200 connected to the Fritz box and appear there under Smart Home.
The connection is automatically restored when you! Dect 200 separates the Fritz from the power supply and to a different location (in a radius of up to 200 meters) to the Fritz box inserting again. A repeated Log is not required.
After first setting the Fritz! Dect makes 200 a firmware update, which can be seen at the blinkenen LEDs and prevents access from the outside. This takes about 5 minutes and you must wait before you start to install (do not worry, the device is therefore not defective when it does not respond after the first connection to the Fritz box!).
More firmware updates are automatic. Here on the Fritz! Dect 200 to "off" and returns to the Update (optional) in the last switching state.
Then you can set up a time schedule with different switching times over the Fritz box.
The possibilities for this are very varied and really leave nothing to be desired.
Besides simply switching on and off can be daily, weekly, interval-based, random, and calendar-dependent from the sunrise and - set under gear-dependent switching times. In addition, Fritz can! Dect 200 also change gear manually via a small button. Only the circuit via the iPhone app works at this point yet, but will follow soon.
The respective switching state is indicated both on the Fritz! Dect 200 (LED) as well as the router.
The Fritz! Dect 200 has two green LEDs (DECT connection status, switching status), the software side can not be switched off.
Who! Dect 200 uses the Fritz directly next to the bed, feels may be disturbed by the light of the two LEDs. Since then helps probably only cover or unplug.
The transmission of the switching pulses via a DECT radio connection and works for me also by a concrete ceiling (router in the basement / Dect 200 on the ground) properly. Whether the DECT signal can be amplified by means of a repeater, so you can bridge greater distances, I do not know (yet). But I intend to purchase me a repeater and I will then test.
The switching times can be changed via the PC or an app. This also works from a distance when you're ready to release the remote access to the router.
In addition, the Fritz! Dect 200 measures the energy consumption of the connected devices and logs this. Consumption can be read in the router clear or at different times (daily, weekly, monthly) send e-mail. Here, the consumption in kw / h, and CO2 emissions will be informed. To this end, the local electricity price per kw / h must be deposited in the Fritz box. Factory 25 cents per kw / h are pre-set.
Who Dect 200 has several Fritz! In use, receives a report for each device. The ability to combine all the devices in a report does not exist (yet).
The feel of the Fritz! Dect 200 is solid, though not of high quality and corresponds to the known Fritz! Design, where the doses are smaller than the repeater or D-LAN doses.
I use the Fritz! Dect 200 currently for switching a Raumentfeuchters which is to work only during the day and its power consumption interests me.
Other applications (from the control of the lighting during the absence on holiday until the night off from "standby" consumers of) are with me on the list. Since the power consumption of the Fritz! Dect 200 with about 0.7 watts is moderate, it can also be used for cost-saving switching of "standby" consumers of (TV, DVD, stereo, etc.) use. This also the purchase price itself may eventually recoup.
Anyway it is a good entry into the home automation system. Up to 10 Fritz! Dect 200 can be connected to a router at the same time operate.
The only drawback: without a AVM routers can 200 do with the Fritz Dect little!.

SUPPLEMENTARY 10.01.2013
I had now 3 weeks to test the Fritz! Dect 200. The following features are struck me:
- The consumption indicator (estimated daily, monthly, annual consumption) remains the first 3 days measuring empty (all values O)
Only after 3-day operation, these values are extrapolated. This probably is a greater accuracy of these estimates are reached.
- Consumption values can not be reseten. If one uses the Fritz! Dect 200 for metering at different places (today freezer, TV tomorrow, etc) are obtained with the fuel economy is a mixture of all measuring points. This could prevent just, you could set the values to zero, which currently is not possible.
A real disadvantage which must be urgently addressed!
The only workaround: Fritz Dect 200 log of the Fritz box, reseten (10 sec the DECT key pressed.) And login again to the router.
- The AVM Support seems to be overloaded. My related support requests have not yet been processed.

A new firmware V 2.98 is available and is installed automatically when the Fritz! Dect 200 logged into the Router and the DECT network is within range.
Manually, the update can not perform, ie wait until it is installed automatically.
WORK AROUND (for all impatient): 200 Dect Fritz unsubscribe from the router, reseten and log back!. After signing the Fritz! Dect 200 searches for the latest firmware and installs it. BUT: Downsides: All previous data are lost.

I have the Fritz! Dect 200 now More than 1 month in use and am still satisfied.
- The automatic switching cycles have been performed so far always reliable
- The calculation of average consumption remains a mystery to me.
With an average daily output of 0.56 one month consumption of 16.31 and an annual consumption of 195.69 will be calculated.
I'd like to know what underlies this calculation formula, because 0.56 x 30 days = 16.80 and 0.56 x 31 days = 17.36.
To a simple multiplication can be in the "Extrapolation / forecast" so do not act.
The estimated annual consumption of 195.69 alculated probably from the 12 times monthly figure of 16.31. Remains to be seen how this value evolved for 2 months or more.

Have found that it is the "daily consumption" is not the actual consumption at measurement day, but a mean value of all previous test days.
If one uses the Fritz! Dect 200 with always the same consumers, so it may make sense sen to determine an average fuel consumption / day based on the usage habits.
Who measures at different locations, can with the results but not do much. (Reset problem also exists with FW 2.98 continued)
The same applies to the monthly and annual consumption.
On the ToDo list! Introducing a possibility should at AVM are therefore, to be reset the consumption values and / or assign specific devices.
