We Are Undone (Audio CD)

Customer Review

After I ever could advance trial heard the good piece, I give but here's my two cents from:

1. WE ARE UNDONE (8 of 10)
The song there was far in advance to hear already. The album version has an additional cant guitar intro. A successful rockier start with tough social criticism

2. Incidental (3 of 10)
The single from the album. I ask myself why? The song is by far the weakest on the album. A loosely-fuzzy, meaningless for standards of 2Gs rock song with boring guitar riff, unimaginative Drums and somehow does not fit all, the vocals. I began at this point to doubt whether I would like the album ...

3. FOOLS LIKE US (7 of 10)
Ahhh ... it germinates again but hope! A stomping beat and a stamping-klampfende guitar is heard. The song seems to simultaneously funny and sad. He rips up the quiet Interlude, and then the same again afterwards with the fetzt again incipient "Stampfigkeit".

4. INVITATION TO THE FUNERAL (9 of 10)
There you go, there you are! A piano sets in, it is quiet ... A leaden song suggests itself. The guitar is packed today. A deeply sad song accompanied mostly by piano with strategically placed, occasional daring harmonies and a little percussion. And as the typical 2G singing.

5. SOME TROUBLE (9 of 10)
The guitar is pulled out again and again distorted properly, it is clear blue-heavy. The singing acts here somehow "older" hard-nosed. Smoky singing with sunglasses provide.

6. MY MAN GO (9 of 10)
It is quiet again, the guitar may initiate a bittersweet song. A beautiful folk ballad with gentle percussion. For almost cuddling a song.

7. KATY KRUELLY (10 of 10)
Yes how awesome! Only vocals and guitar, but something of Hammer! Again a quieter song that is the fact that the protagonist has already loved a few times, but stupid as the one he has always most loved Katy Kruelly (of "cruel" = cruel) is. A beautiful to listening ballad with some wit and imaginative guitar. Here you can hear very clear that Adams has evolved vocals.

8. HEARTBREAK DOWN (10 of 10)
Wow, equal to the second hammer afterwards. Again missing the classic drums, but this one has all sorts of experimental percussion, which runs through the whole song. It is again a means quiet song with a thousand small ideas that you are so not used to from the 2Gs. Again, one feels again this deliberate disparity between the lyrics and the partially heartwarming happy-gentle accompaniment by guitar and percussion.

9. THE MURDER SEASON / THE AGE NOCTURNE (8 of 10)
A rather more typical 2Gs number. Varied between quiet and tough with some tempo changes. A quiet-start outing, which increases more and more and leads in Rock, Progressive and Punk.

10. THERE'S SO MUCH I DO NOT KNOW (10 of 10)
And again a little quiet, sad to wind down. Again Piano, Voice and Drums. A truly bitter song with lyrics that remind one of the atmosphere here at "Fly Low Carrion Crow". "Nothing left makes sense to me. What Must They Change What They Came to see. All things blow Eventually. There's so much I do not know" Here you realize the development of Adam's voice. It is still far from precise vocal weapon of an opera singer, but he can now put some new accents. A perfect song would destroy everything anyway, what are the 2Gs. Perfect imperfection!

Thank you for this album!
