I bought the Philips AJB3552 / 12 clock radio and after 4 weeks use I can make a good picture of the device. For this I have to say that my first review ever is the reason I write because I the negative reviews for this product do not share in particular. But the details:

- Display: my chosen setting - auto dimming. works perfectly in my eyes. On the day sufficiently bright and during the night, the display is illuminated very weak but sufficient.
- Radio reception: DAB + Emfang without problems and sound just as you would expect from a clock radio.
- Speakers: standby I could absolutely no buzzing, humming, or similar hearing. It must be said that I'm sensitive to noise and the clock radio about an arm's length from the head is removed. This problem seems to have been solved by Philips
- The green alarm button - described by many as too bright sees my experience so. Is it pitch dark in the room brightens the green certificate the room light so that you can roughly identify contours. With your eyes closed, but it is absolutely nothing to remember. I do not perceive the green alarm button
- Operation: read manual is mandatory at the beginning, when the details (such as wake-up: Mon-Fri, SA + or + SO) plans to hire. After some practice, the standard functions are not a problem even without a manual.

Negatives:
- From my old alarm clock I miss a second, preset alarm time. Since it takes about 15 sec. Set the alarm, it does not fall so much weight.

In summary, I'm glad to have finally found a good, though not cheap clock radio. Assuming that it performs over the coming years anstandlos his service I would recommend it without reservation.
