Router or Modem Router choice

The Linksys X1000 is very versatile; I used it initially as a modem-router, connected to a DSL phone line. The settings are very classic, we find the usual Linksys menus. The supplied software is not required, the configuration can be done in the usual way by menus on a web page.

Recently, I use it as a router behind a box, the X1000 is connected to the box by its WAN connection. It has access to many parameters not available on some box: choice of DNS, regulated access following schedules for children, WiFi N, etc ...

Most: versatility router modem / router, IPv6 compatibility, reactivity menus, making quality
The -: only 3 LAN ports (one can use a switch)
