Got the S120 ordered and tested against the existing S110. In particular, praised in other reviews quickness and higher light intensity have interested me since I like to go with the camera hunting for insects. On vacation and also at Sunday walks I take as the rather small PowerShot instead of 700D with 100 Macro with. At the first touch and test minor improvements of the controls I have fallen to the chassis. The buttons are now better to feel "blind". About the flash is debatable. He now travels no more annoying, automatically, but only if you really want. But he snapped out now so fierce that I wonder if he survived the long run. From a speed rush towards the S110 I was now not just overwhelmed, the S120 is but a bit faster. Maybe they play their advantages, especially when shooting video, but I have not tested / compared. To me it seems to mainly due to the image quality of the photos. And since me the S120 has told the S110 then being evil disappointed. The images are crisp and sharp significantly less than that of the S110 and act paler. The S120 often prone to overexposure and noise - even at low ISO range. Referring to the RAW mode, it is possible that although compensate somewhat, but in the end, the S110 is the image quality significantly before S120. Unfortunately, a huge and incomprehensible step back, who then also prompted me to return the camera again. Regarding the battery, I would like to say that I had the impression that he holds significantly less long than the S110 and it is quite expensive (about 60 vs. 35 EUR). There are, however, to buy cheaper alternatives - then everyone must know yourself, if he wants to get involved in NoName batteries. Currently, the S110 is to have again for 225 EUR at Amazon (the price had climbed recently to nearly EUR 400). For the price I would (currently 319 EUR) prefer the S120 definitely.
