+ Huge, great designed game world
+ Long and extremely varied campaign (+ side missions)
+ Thoughtful, engaging and - yay, I'm on something - interwoven with its predecessors the HD era Story
+ Quite versatile characters, however, more to the critics
+ Insane variety of vehicles and weapons with tuning options for both - very nice.
+ Super humor, which emerges in his sophistry everywhere and runs through the entire game
+ Liquid and first-class gameplay
+ Reasonable graphic that looks amazing, at least for the potential of this console generation
+ Great physics engine that makes a lot more fun
But why can a game with all these features do not quite so captivate like a GTA San Andreas? At important points there are flaws:
- First, the police system, my personal nemesis. A single pile of scrap programming. The police are only one sad forced action means. Here you could learn so much from Mafia II ... instead, it looks like this: The police is an autonomous and characterless acting terrorist murder with unrestricted permission without grounds. Examples: I cut it for fun with a hammer a car that belongs to myself. What happens? After a short time I have a star. A police car on moves and the next moment I'll geballert without further demand to the winds. Or: I help the police to knock somebody ko, they hunt on the open road. Thanks? I will immediately shot summarily. Or: I put myself on the road, in a police uniform, standing next to a police car, keep an eye out in the two officials after speeders. after about one minute of inaction beside the car I get a star and will immediately shot. Or: I enter in police uniform and unarmed strolling the input of the military compound. Question the porter after entry permit? Calling on me, not to come closer, although I belong to the state power? Nothing of the sort. The only reaction is a high wanted level before I ever set foot the terrain and direct a volley in the head. And if one is chased by helicopters, of course, is this so Spawndichte insanely high that to escape is not to think. Terrible. I repeat: You see Mafia II etc.
- The characters and the story are both very well worked out, on the other hand you have the whole thing but with a different attribute provided: Absolut depressing. This action is all the characters yell permanently only and slide hatred. In the long term the depressed easily. Now you can take that as critical blow to the criminal life, well and good. If I but the old San Andreas look at me: As dominate for a time even discord, but all the time, the accompanied by an incredibly good, kinda funny atmosphere and there are characters who can bring a mind off things, such as "The Truth "or, for GTA IV," Little Jacob ". In GTA V the seriousness is rampant and you have to go to the ludicrous in-game Internet or turn on the television in order to laugh at times can.
- Well, a matter of taste ... but certainly not only mean, I almost had to cry when I walked into the dead end of Grove Street. The Johnson-house does not exist, everything is Ballas territory ... Rockstar, how can you do ?! : '(
- In spite of the many activities the game works after completing all the side missions kind of boring. Somehow it does not irritate particularly to purchase any cinema or marijuana shops ... houses like in San Andreas, that would be interesting, but is only in multiplayer. While tune the car is great, but is then also monotonous. What is lacking, would be something like an infinite generatable, always different, even cooperatively playable missions.
- Speaking of missions, I can indeed any weapon, even Shotguns (O_o) fitted with a silencer, but real stealth missions come viiiel too short in GTA IV. Not to say, they even hardly come before. Almost always it will be a very short time, surrounded by hordes of trigger-crooks who apparently can smell miles upwind in Hide the player and where, one wonders from which nest can permanently flow these masses. Anyway wins in that respect clearly Watch_Dogs.
- Furthermore, the missions are indeed great content devised, but mechanically still stand on old One would have within the missions much more to decide and so can also avoid some confrontation..
- The traffic density is still remarkably low console conditionally - because you have to wait until the next-gen release. I hope this time the expectations are met!
- And extremely annoying is that personal vehicles after parking and a time instant as always disappear immediately. Although they can be at least then the police station to pick up again, but it's still stressful and they can also get lost. Which was dissolved in multiplayer better.
- Eben This Multiplayer though has a very good approach, but suffers from the totally destructive community, which has to do 95% of nothing better than to go off for no reason other players. Unfortunately, lacking appropriate game mechanics that effectively sorts the player to varieties that want to play either cooperatively or confrontational. This makes a total of not as much fun as it could actually do to have some fun in Los Santos online. I dream because of "right" Crews with headquarters who can plan against other large-scale raids or territories takeovers, without appearing constantly on the radar, but with the possibility of a secret procedure ... but the online mode grows yes yet.
Conclusion:
Buy - yes, by the way, only the Standard Edition, the surcharges for "Special" and so not worth it really, as far as the gameplay. In addition, best to wait for the next-gen release and make it right and buy for the PC.
I look forward to the PC version and definitely will it then buy myself despite everything again. GTA fan I stay safe!
