Now after there is almost no 3.5 "SSDs, needed a frame. Here fits a conventional adapter frame
not in the Mac Pro, because the disks are screwed from the bottom of the Mac Pro.
Advantage: The SSD is so light that it can also be installed without screwing.
128GB is not much storage, but for system data and programs, it is sufficient in principle.
However, I did not always have to look for data on other disks or partitions. That's why I
decided to build a fusion drive. So the existing memory of the hard drive of 1TB was with the
128GB SSD connected to a logical drive.
For this, the data previously backed up by Time Machine and return it to the Fusion Drive and it is
a drive of 1.12 TB appear.
Result: The Fusion Drive is now running about 3 months without any problems and the performance improvement was enormous.
The start time was reduced from 40-50 to 20 seconds and programs launch more quickly.
Of course, the performance would be even better if the SATA controller would support SATA III.
