Scanner tip to forget SilverFast!

My wife and I have been scanned with an old Canon Device our slides, but we wanted to upgrade to one with IR dust and scratch detection. The Plustek can do that, not with the simple original software (Quick Scan). With the included SilverFast it's true, this is because the part of the exposure and color of the result simply catastrophic. I herumprobiert hours, the scans were completely useless. Even QuickScan can do better by far. How LaserSoft can thus sell a product to a such excessive price, is beyond me.

I was actually about to pack up the equipment again and send it back, then I read the tip with VueScan here. The surface of this program is indeed really not so great, what the software fetches of the Plustek out for a treat!

The money for SilverFast is thrown out, by almost 70, - but for VueScan you get along with the OpticFilm 8200i is a really high-class tool.
