Seagate (Samsung) Barracuda inside :-)

- The hard drive inside the case is a Seagate (or Samsung, it's the same) Barracuda ST1000DM005 (P / N HD103SJ)
- With Western Digital Seagate is one of two global benchmarks for hard disks.

No quality problems to fear from the side of the disc remains the case.

On that side, no problem either: solid construction in solid aluminum, the beast inspires confidence. Small problem: consequence of the build quality, it's a bit heavy.

In use I leave you itemize perfs Barracuda ST1000DM005 available everywhere on the net, but with a USB3 connection, there is an equal or greater rate of transfer to Apple FireWire. (I do not abrutirais you transfer rates: These data vary depending on many parameters including the size and number of files transferred).

Logged USB2, no miracle: it is limited by the connectivity, but the disc works well.

Positives: Quiet housing, heating and acceptable.

Downside: like all external hard drives 3.5 '', it does not work without the external power .. this is not ideal for mobile use: why there are external drives 2.5 ''.

In summary: a branded disc sold in a little known brand, but who wins to become the (well known ..!)
