The COD versions BO2 and Ghosts I had not played from the outset due to the bad reviews. I am therefore first stayed with MW3 and have eagerly awaited the new version or first read the first user reviews before buying. I have now played COD AW about 10 hours online, the campaign does not interest me - and am immediately fascinated. The game runs smoothly and you get immediately back inside. The changes are refreshing, the graphics are certainly a bit sterile and comic-like, but otherwise very good. Clear also that COD has again some negative points: firstly there is a weak sound effects, which are far away from reality. A shell does not plop but wham ;-) The weak respawn system also means that I get caught in 90% of cases from behind because opponents who were not there before, suddenly appear in my back. OK, the game felt like probably something I'll shoot faster than my opponent, die earlier and still see in the Killcam not my actions (peer to peer instead Dedicated Server takes its toll). But these problems had COD`s before this already (... more or less). Nevertheless Fun without end, a reward system that encourages to continue playing and a good old feeling like much longer. The hopping with the Exo-Suits annoys me, makes the game unnecessarily hectic and leaves tactical approach seem superfluous. But I play the Classic mode, so no notable problem, there is something for everyone. I still hope to a few updates which iron out the shortcomings, then the game is perfect.
Otherwise: Buy recommendation, 4.5 stars (rounded up ... = 5).
