Since my laptop keyboard does not have a good writing experience, I wanted an old Mitsumi keyboard (Year: 1997) to connect to my laptop. But I was horrified to find that the keyboard does not have a USB port, but only as a huge five-pin DIN plug-AT. So I screwed the keyboard and found with the multimeter the pin assignment. Then I unsoldered the wires. Furthermore, I took a PS / 2 extension cable and cut off the jack. Then I isolated from the cable and soldered it with the correct assignment to the board. But this also was only possible because AT-Din and PS / 2 plug all belong to DIN family. A little tip: Never use an extension cord as DIN Audio keyboard extension, as this will cause a short circuit and the motherboard may break. -----> Long story short: Now I had a keyboard with PS / 2 connector
But now my laptop has no PS / 2 port so I needed an adapter to USB. Namely, an active transducer. In electronics store because you have to loose time 20 put on the table.
So I looked at Amazon.com and found this for 2.66 and free delivery.
However, I realized in horror that the adapter is supplied in individual parts. After that I sofoft an e-mail to sell All-Network sent me and who immediately sent a replacement free of charge. Since other traders could do learn a lesson it.
CONCLUSION: For this price you can not expect much quality, but it works and I have finally a good keyboard. Here I order like again.
