These Melitta brews 1.1 liters of coffee in a single pass. That corresponds to about 8 (normal) cups of coffee. Furthermore, and for us that was a prerequisite, the Melitta has a good heat-insulated vessel. Nothing is worse to have brewed as large amounts of coffee in a glass jug, which then might be available one hour on the hot plate of the machine and then simply tastes bitter. Also a nice -hochglänzend- black heat-insulated vessel has ours.
But besides that, this machine is really well thought out. The water display can be read from the outside really good and on both sides. The filter can be good swing out. What is needed is the size of 1 x 4, and there are of course Melitta. Finally, Melitta Bentz was in 1908 the inventor of this filter ;-) 5 matching filters are of the machine to direct "Start" at.
Very good works of Drip stop. When pulling the pitcher, did not land a single drop on the hot plate. If the machine are very close to an electrical outlet, no problem. to long cables simply disappear in the cable compartment and is not annoying around on the countertop.
Further advantages are the aroma setting, the option via dial, stronger or milder coffee to brew; the descaling program, a corresponding light will come on when needs descaling; and the water hardness can be adjusted.
Those who want even more convenience, such as a timer or the digital time, selects the model 1011-15 that then looks even higher quality and with a lot of stainless steel.
But on our black granite countertop, also makes these existing high-quality plastic machine an excellent impression.
Conclusion:
A great, solid, well thought coffee with heat-insulated vessel at a reasonable price.
