I have now three of these holders for an eTrex 30 in action: a on the handlebar of a touring bike, a stem on a mountain bike, and a centrally on the handlebar of a motorcycle. At first I was concerning. The attachment on the cable ties a bit skeptical, but in retrospect, I can only be described as stable and flexible. The bottom of the bracket is formed rounded in the longitudinal and transverse direction, and there are receptacles for the cable tie in the longitudinal and transverse direction. This mounting is possible both transversely on a link and longitudinally on a porch and on complex geometries (eg handlebar mount on the stem), also provide different diameters is not a problem. If you put on tight enough with pliers the cable ties (the part is something fiddly), the holder is positioned securely to prevent slipping and twisting. If you cut the cable ties cleanly, it also looks nothing wrong. The holder is also quite compact and does little to. The attachment of the eTrex on the bracket is a little bit of getting used to, but then falls very easily. Since the snap is not good to feel or hear, you have to try a few times to know when the device is properly seated. When removing the appliance you have to pay attention to the light pressure on the lower edge of the bracket while pulling out the device upwards. This works for me (in all three brackets) good and easy, and I had no problems with a lack of maintenance of the appliance.
