The Abistress is now behind her and the first scandals also ... "youthful indiscretions" in the form of various appearances in the trash TV including naked pool Planscherei scratched last sensitively on unspent Image of Lena. So a completely blank slate, there are just not yet.
Today their first album, 13 tracks including three songs and two cover gecharteten the songs that they "Unser Star für Oslo" made the favorite in appears.
The frequently drawn comparison to Kate Nash is Lena on "My Cassette Player" does not do justice ... at least not consistently. Even the title track reminds of the production more on the, also discovered by Stefan Raab, Stefanie Heinzmann. Not necessarily a bad thing, the song is nice and unobtrusive ... attributes that could be award to the entire album basically. In Song 3 "Not Following" Lena ooh-ooh-uuht way through a harmless pop song, which would pass as B-side of Lily Allen and the following "I like to bang my head" does not conjure woman Meyer-Landrut then about Metal, but the groove out of the hat. The still very chant-heavy number goes so also perfectly fine, but is also no highlight.
With "Caterpillar in the Rain" may Lena then finally show that they still have a passable voice. The piano ballad in retro garment fits seamlessly into the list of "nice" songs. This is followed by "Bee" and "Love Me", which together with Meyer-Landrut "Satellite" catapulted into the charts and should not be missing on the first album, of course.
In "Touch A New Day" you get first a shock, but the intro sounds a lot like campfire song. The chorus acoustic guitar along with cowboy hat is then however mothballed again and it gleams again woman Heinzmann through. The song comes and goes in no time and you have to watch it almost completely not to be missed. "You can not stop me now" located somewhere between "Love Me" and "Satellite" and is perhaps useful single material.
A highlight is definitely Lenas version of "Mr. Curiosity". Only supported by the piano can once again imagine what a singing voice may well be stuck in the ESC hopes.
The album ends with modest "I just want your kiss", a trip farther toward Stefanie Heinzmann and the shallow "Wonderful dreaming".
Lenas quirky Art was unfortunately completely wegproduziert on "My Casstte Player", none of the songs leaving the shallow waters .... a discreet "shit" in "Love me" is the only edge at which one could encounter while listening. In the song selection shows you almost got angry unexperimentierfreudig. Each of the 13 songs snuggles buttery soft in the ear canals and hits like out again.
On "My Cassette Player" dominated the mid-tempo, a second obvious hit like "Satellite" there is not really. The songs are all nice and a total failure can be found on "My Cassette Player" just as true highlights. If you could be called common Lenas first concoction as elevator music ... is one mild voted one has an album with a handful of nice summer-pop songs.
